Celebrating a Champion: Nyanya Touray Shines at the U.S. Soccer U17 4 Nations Tournament

The entire ESYDA family and community are beaming with pride as we congratulate Nyanya Touray on her incredible achievement—winning the U.S. Soccer U17 4 Nations Tournament championship!

Nyanya’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. She began this prestigious tournament as a striker and quickly made her mark by scoring a fantastic goal, helping lead her team to victory. But her path to success started long before this tournament.

At just five years old, Nyanya began her soccer journey with the Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy Inc. (ESYDA), based in Montgomery, Silver Spring, and White Oak. Inspired by her brother, Ibrima Touray, Nyanya trained and competed alongside boys, playing in boys’ teams up to the U12 level, and continuing through her early teens.

Her determination, resilience, and hard work have paid off. ESYDA is extremely proud of Nyanya’s career and all she has accomplished so far. We know this is just the beginning of a bright future for her. Nyanya’s story is a shining example for young athletes everywhere—especially for girls in soccer.

Way to go, Nyanya! The entire community is behind you, cheering you on every step of the way.
