AGBEGNIGAN AMOUZOU HONORED WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD AT THE 30TH ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE WEEKEND
Maryland, USA — Agbegnigan Amouzou, Founder and Executive Director of Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy (ESYDA), was recently recognized for his outstanding leadership and dedication to community empowerment. During the 30th Annual Legislative Weekend, organized by the Maryland Black Caucus Foundation, Mr. Amouzou received the prestigious Community Service Award, a distinction that celebrates individuals making a lasting impact through education, mentorship, and youth development.
For more than a decade, Agbegnigan Amouzou has been at the forefront of initiatives that blend athletic excellence with personal growth, guiding hundreds of young athletes toward success both on and off the field. Through Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy, he has built a platform where sports serve as a bridge for discipline, education, leadership, and inclusion — helping youth from diverse backgrounds unlock their full potential.
Speaking after the ceremony, Mr. Amouzou expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that the award belongs to the entire ESYDA family — coaches, volunteers, parents, and community partners — who share the same mission of empowering the next generation.
