About the Position

ESYDA is seeking a Program Support Specialist to help implement Kicking Life into Gear 2.0: Thriving Edition—a holistic, peer-led program designed to promote wellness, reduce substance use, and foster positive socioemotional development among youth ages 11–24 in Montgomery County.

The Program Support Specialist will play a key role in supervising peer educators, providing administrative and program support, and ensuring the smooth execution of activities, events, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as point of contact and supervisor for peer educators.

  • Coordinate with partners, contractors, and grantees to support program implementation and reporting.

  • Support peer educators in designing and delivering public health messaging and prevention strategies in schools and communities.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the program, including attendance tracking, documentation, communications, and event logistics.

  • Recruit and conduct outreach to enroll program participants.

  • Provide referrals to social and health services (substance use, mental health, cessation programs, etc.).

  • Participate in professional development training, evaluation, and monitoring.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with youth, implementing programs, and coordinating services.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Comfortable using digital platforms (Google Forms, Excel, Zoom, SurveyMonkey, etc.).

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.


Compensation

💰 Salary Range: $40,000 – $45,000 annually (Contractual position)
