About the ESYDA Scholarship Program

At ESYDA (Elite Soccer Youth Development Academy), we believe every child deserves the opportunity to play soccer regardless of their family's financial situation. As a nonprofit, community-based organization, our mission is to provide access to quality soccer training, mentorship, leadership development, and educational opportunities for youth throughout our community.

Through our Player Assistance Scholarship Program, ESYDA helps families who demonstrate financial need to participate in our soccer programs. Our goal is to remove financial barriers while continuing to provide a positive environment where players can develop their athletic, social, and academic potential.

Step-by-Step

Scholarship Application Requirements

Follow these four steps to apply for financial assistance through ESYDA's Player Assistance Scholarship Program.

Step 01

Team Acceptance

  • Be offered a roster spot on an ESYDA team
  • Accept the roster spot
  • Pay the required non-refundable deposit
  • Place the security deposit before the season starts

Step 02

Complete the Scholarship Application

  • Families must complete the ESYDA Scholarship Application in its entirety
  • Incomplete applications may delay the review process

Step 03

Submit Financial Documentation

  • Most recent tax return
  • Recent pay stubs
  • Government assistance documentation (if applicable)
  • Other supporting financial documents requested by ESYDA
  • Documents can be submitted via the registration

Step 04

Application Review

  • The ESYDA Scholarship Committee will review all applications
  • All financial information and personal details remain strictly confidential
  • Scholarships are awarded based solely on demonstrated financial need
Recipient Obligations

Scholarship Recipient Responsibilities

Families receiving scholarship assistance agree to uphold the following commitments.

Family Commitments

  • Maintain good standing with ESYDA
  • Ensure the player regularly attends practices, games, and team activities
  • Follow all ESYDA policies, codes of conduct, and team expectations
  • Volunteer at ESYDA events, programs, or team activities as requested
  • Communicate promptly with club staff regarding any changes in financial circumstances

Please Note

Scholarship awards may not cover all program-related expenses. Families may still be responsible for certain costs, including but not limited to:

  • Uniforms
  • Training gear
  • Tournament fees
  • Travel expenses
  • Additional team-related costs not included in the scholarship award

Ongoing Eligibility

Scholarship Retention Policy

Scholarship awards are granted for the current soccer year and are subject to ongoing review. To maintain scholarship eligibility throughout the program, players and families must:

  • Maintain good conduct and sportsmanship
  • Meet attendance expectations for practices and games
  • Fulfill volunteer commitments
  • Follow all ESYDA policies and procedures
Important: Failure to meet these requirements may result in the reduction or termination of scholarship assistance. If a scholarship is revoked, the family may become responsible for the remaining balance of the player's program fees.
